Madrid Urban Sports 2022 UCI C1
The World Series of Urban Sports stopped in Madrid. I was also competing there in the BMX park discipline and made it to the finals!

After my first competition in 2022 for the FISE BMX World Cup in Montpellier, Urban sports series festival in Madrid was my next mission. There were almost all the top guys in the world so this contest felt almost like World Cup. I successfully overcame the qualifications, also passed the semi-finals and qualified for Sunday’s grand final in the park discipline! I was stoked because that means that I earned one of only 12 spots for Sunday’s finals that also had a live broadcast.
Finals!
My first finals run was very solid and I was going strong but choose a wrong line for a wallride and didn’t have enough speed for triple tailwhip. On my second run I was pushing even harder and made the mistake while doing a flairwhip. I had a flat earlier on the training session and missed last 20 minutes of practice, so I couldn’t test everything I wanted.
Overall it was good enough for 10th place, which is nice, and I am also happy that I got some UCI points as well. It certainly is a good base for the future events and I believe that it will only get better.
